hey man, i have cut 2 parts. I run a 4.5kg/mm spring at the back and when i did only one it still bumped when going in a deep hole or over a big bump. I was not really sure till i once putted paint underneath and drove a while... then looked and yes it was on both sides.. so i would do 2 if i were you.
