I've got a 1984 Ae86 Sr5 (California Car) that's Carborated, Rwd 5 speed manual with no aftermarket changes in it. I've changed the spark plugs, distributor cap, and oil in hopes that that would help it pass emissions, but it didn't work. The car has around 210K miles on it and is just a daily commuter car. I really want to keep it, but I don't know how to reduce the amount of hydrocarbons that the car is producing! The number should be 220, but it's around 440 instead. It idles higher than normal until I drive it on the freeway for a while as well. Any ideas on how I may be able to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance! |
