Then I think it will be good... I love the fact they are illuminated as well like the ones I got Smile

So, here is a picture of my subwoofer, I changed the inner/outer tie rods, brake light switch, and got an alignment, now everything is okay except for that A/C compressor..

I really want to drop a R134A replacement unit but I have no idea which one would be compatible.

Hey guys!

Haven't posted in MONTHS here lmao

So, basically there was lots of shit going on.

First, here are a couple recent picture of my car :
[Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan] [Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan][Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan] [Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan][Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan][Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan][Image: AEU86 AE86 - 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno...from Japan]

I created the AE86 / 4AGE French speakers club, now about 185 members and going strong! The logo was made by a member's wife which is an illustrator, I made stickers (inside the windshield, like "Crit'air" vignettes) also, the logo is not made with AI, because I hate AI slop logos with a passion.

Been at the Jap'n'Car Festival near Paris, on the Linas-Montlhéry racetrack with people of my club 30/31th of may 2026. Was good, but got banned from the racetrack because I've done a donut during the parade after seeing a friend do one (deserved, presented my apologies to the crew etc)
Lots of AE86s, AE92s...

I also happened to meet the Drift King at that event, and he signed my AE86's ashtray. Which I clear-coated the day it was signed lol.

30th of June, met another legend, Sung Kang (Han from F&F) ! This guy was ADORABLE, he was so kind and humble! The red AE86 is actually a friend of mine and he came with his car all the way from Paris, Sung Kang actually drove the car from Braine l'Alleud down to Brussels. Absolute legend.
Sung Kang came in my car at the very very end of the event and he was like "damn man your car is very clean", very kind. He liked the fact there was a few AE86s owners there, told me about his cars etc. Very cool

2nd of August, event at Spa Francorchamps "Spa Asia 2026" very nice event where I invited people from my club to come, not many people came but hey.
I parked my car in front of Arcade Belgium's stand, since I'm friend with them and they had the Initial D cab, they even took Chunithm, a japanese rhythm game I love to play.

Otherwise, the car has been driving fine, but I can feel sometime very subtle "fuel cut" but like, for a tenth of a second. That's the fuel pump telling me "hey, I'm going to die on you, and leave you stranded" lmao, I need to do a complete overhaul of the fuel system, but again, this car need so much expensive work that I don't want to do now because it's not mandatory.

It needs :
- A/C system overhaul (priority for me, prevent me driving when weather is hot)
- Fuel system overhaul
- Ignition system overhaul (new ignition coil perhaps)
- New timing belt
- Engine bay respray
- Rust removal underneath and respray
- Rust removal behind windshield...

But since I'm so obsessed with A/C I'm going to fix the A/C first. I've got a secondhand A/C compressor from a kouki AE86 Levin to fit.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to throw flowers at me, but this car is in absolute amazing condition both exterior and interior, and I'm driving it, it's not a car that drive 500km a year, I've drove like what, 20.000km since march 2025 (when I got the license plate) it's been so reliable and I've drove it quite hard too, not all the time, since I'm 90% of the time on the highway, driving at 120kph, 4500rpm.

Another video for y'all 4A-GE enjoyers.

looks great dude - saw your posts on Reddit also.

Car looks very fresh or at least hides its age very well Smile

Are you going to come to Ireland for 86Fest ?

Also is the switch in red for the popups ? as I thought it was done via the headlight rotary dial (also in the pic Big Grin)

Thanks buddy, no it's for cutting off the 100km/h chime ! I need to make a new sticker because of doesn't look like a bell, but I forgot to ask my friend to print a new sticker, it's actually a front fog light switch that I used for cutting the chime, since it's a basic two prong switch Smile

Everything in the car is working like it's supposed to, including the pop ups, they work flawlessly. They had an issue when I bought the car (one of them was not popping) I just hit the headlight motor with the handle of a screwdriver for a solid minute, and it's been working perfectly since. Even the corner lights works perfectly fine, very handy when it's dark outside.

Not coming in Ireland, but next year for sure! #unemployment lol

I did! I also looked at your adventures with your car, I'm so glad you didn't sold it, you will regret that car if you ever sell it, it's so good. I love your chinese auto cover fog lights, they look so good with the new paint job on them!

You know what - the first thing I thought it was for was to cut the chime because it looked like a bell Smile but then I thought naw I must be wrong Smile

I reappropriated a button before on a porsche I had. The Targa model had a roof slide button, that looked like a garage door emblem. So I bought one, and made it a garage door opener for the apartement gates.
