lamda sensor when de cated.
Hi,
I've just de-cated my 86, the the lamda sensor was located in the cat, now its zip tied to the bottom of my car. The car is running fine, but what have other people done with there lamda sensor when de catting there cars, and what are the downsides to not having it in. Thanks Hopper. |

I just cut it, it made no difference, but dont take my advise

I have a problem... I just started to work on my corolla and I can't finde the lamda sensor. The problem is I am not very god at mechanics so I need someone to tell me exactly were to fine it. I tried to finde it but no success. I probably dont have one... I don't know! My corolla is a 1894 corolla GT.
Please help |

Sure, weld a bung (piece of metal with threaded hole) into the exhaust manifold somewhere and you're good to go. Although it is a bit of a challenge to weld on the original cast iron item, maybe you can mount one further downstream in the regular exhaustpipes.
Get a wideband lambda sensor while you are at it... FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
