jup, cut out and weld new pieces in! Tongue

there is no other way, kurust/noverox is just to stop the proces for a few months untill the real repair is caried out.

if it's only surface rust you could get away with sanding/grinding it away and paint.

Best way, to strip car apart and dip the whole chassis in acid baths.
Everything except iron and steel melts, that means all plastic/aluminium/rust ... leaving you with "swiss-cheese-like chassis Big Grin.

I've seen few examples on Exporer/Discovery.
It does great job on rust, on easy and hard to get places Wink
Expect the fact that neither one owner expected his belloved car was in that bad state Smile. Reality check Wink

acid gets into places where it will not get out, eventually eating it's way through protective layers and becoming a cause of rust. Not the best method to strip paint. There is one where you dip the car in a solvent (called loog in dutch, lye or something similarly sounding in english), that is supposed to be better. This will only remove paint, so you can spot the rust easily and remove it yourself.

Don't know right names ant technology but from what i remember, chassis goes through 3 baths. In the first one, everythings but steel dissapears, second one is for cleaning and the last one is for protection.
There where no unwanted aftereffects, at least not on TV Smile

Acid dipping is hugely expensive, there are a few places in the UK that offer the service.
Remember the guy on club4ag that powder coated his shell, it will take that a while to rot.

Some jobs have been done on my car. Yesterday we started to primer some parts. they look great only I seen some more work to do to get the primer ready before paint them. Found some really bad rusts when we removed the front left fender. But my mate said it can be done. I hope he is serious about that.

I did buy a Recaro seat from Marktplaats and it is mint and cheapppp Smile Very happy with it.

On which spot did you have rust then? Near the pedalbox? Dumb question
