Aico,

Except for the neon, strobe lights and the blinded windows it looks like a pretty normal set of tuning options for S13s. Nothing different from what you'd see at a D1 event.

Dumpvalve and Blow Off Valves are two completely different things and although the S13 comes stock equiped there are better aftermarket units available.

But indeed, I worry aswell this event will become all rice and no go. All the more reason for as many hachis to show upSmile

You're missing the point. Automaxx events are like a tupperware party. All show......Check the specs. I mean Y-adaptor......who would put something like that in the list of specs?

With specs I don't mean just HP upgrades. And the specs aren't from a website. It came through the mail from someone on the 200sx forum(dutch). I've drifted low powered cars before so I know you don't need power to drift. Hell I'm drifting in an AT now(yes AT, don't ask).

I won't be going, because I dislike events where I don't drive myself. I get bored pretty fast and the ticketprice goes against my soul. If it was totally free....then maybe

We'll have a meet around arnhem while were there I think, still have to work out the details.
BTW, those Y adapters do provide the 20 hp they state. I just dont know for what kind of engine. I've seen dyno plots from a nissan maxima with y-collector vs stock, it even reached 34 hp gain in the higher rpm's, increase of peak performance about 18hp.
I would expect those kinds of collectors on v6's or something, dunno what the maxima has.

Guys if you check the track, its small all turbo cars must be tuned so nicely to preform well there i think the cars from automax the 2 S13 won't be that ......... great caus its a turbo powered car meaning it boosts to overpower,

I heard the drivers are from the driftclub NL they seem to be pretty good they wanne preform twin drifts but i doubt there will be a great succes.

These guys are trying to immitate the D1 which is totally out of there league

That may be, but if they dont start trying, they will never get there will they.
I've seen the footage of the british tandem drifting competition, which was judged by one of the big D1 drifters (cant remember the name).
A lot more mistakes are made compared to D1, but it's still entertaining.

Yupz, at a certain time you just need to dare to get into this sport. I think they are having a hard time finding people who want to participate, drifting alot of people like, but for twin drifting, very few people in NL have real experience with this and are probably very worried about getting their car damaged. I know that if it wasn't a twin drift event I would want to participate aswell, dont care if I would end as lastSmile

I do think their best bet would have been if they had kept this to a pure show night hiring drifters from around europa and if possible from USA or japan to put on a twin drift show that was rehursed. They are doing that with the guys from driftworks I think, but i am not sure. It would get people interested in doing this and getting people to practice it. Then you will get experienced people that dare to put their skills to the test in a competition. Twin drifting, especially in competition form, you need to trust the other person to have some skills to avoid a crash.
