I 'degreed' the TRD camshaft, it should be around 304 degree (8,3mm lift). It will be enaugh I got my crankshaft from the workshop, reset to the 0,25 undersize bearings, lightened a bit and balanced. This will go into my street car's engine. Lightened flywheel ( not so much 6,4kg instead of the original 7,3) |

We had a drift practice at Tokol I have a video where I had a "dragrace" with my friend, Miki1. He has a rally AE86 with silvertop 20V with standalone fuel management (it has no AFM) and sequential gearbox. His cars disadvantages against mine is the long 1st gear and the rollcages weight. So the video is: http://www.doman.hu/goldieVSmiki.wmv after this video I heard this: ( I didn't know what was this from the fully rebuilt engine but I knew its something wrong ) http://www.doman.hu/brrr.wmv |

I have the smallport engine in my workshop, I'd like to see it in parts: Metal parts in the Oil sump The third conrod bearing made this noise : Some main bearings, here I knew it was because of the sandblasting. |

I decided to assemble the engine with used (good condition) bearings because we had an annual drift event at Euroring racetrack where I wanted to go very much. I have ordered one bearing for this 3rd conrod
in the last size of the main size (mark 3 as I remember) I know I wont use this engine in the future so I had nothing to loose with this step.. I also re-washed the engine for about 3 hours... Used bearing selection Ready.. |

I think I don't have to tell that this engine didn't last so long.. After a warm up and ignition timing check up I did the first round and on the backways it started knocking again... One week of work for 3kms..
After this I was very happy when I saw Robotype's topic here, that he has an AE92 for free. I always wanted an AE92 smallport engine with MAP sensor harness but I was able to get 2engines with AFM.. So we went to Milano with my father and brought this car to Hungary. Thank you again Robotype ! I decided in Italy that I should come to this site more often, and share my project On the way to home: After arriving home: |

My best friend, who made my adjustable campulleys, now has the possibility to work on this machine: So I asked some 4AGE head guys to make them adjustable campulleys. I have anodized them in red colour but I have no pictures yet. Have made one pair plus, its for sale, and my 'old' campulleys are also for sale, write me a pm if you are interested in |

wow, this is a bit and long project, both the street and race car.
too bad you have had to suffer that much from the sandblasting to "make the engine look pretty". Just do what you say: throw away the sandblasted one and use another one. Good luck. P.S.: nice drifting! Pedro Velado GT-S Owner |

Here I am again.
14.12.2006 I took Robotypes ex-car to a dyno before removing the engine. The results were OK, 127hp after ~200.000kms not so bad here is the dyno sheet: http://www.doman.hu/aeu86/453.jpg (I don't want to link it as a picture because its too wide) |
