Toyota club day Lelystad 2005 - Winner is our very own Robo!

Heya people,

I just want to point out to you guys that alot of us dutchies represented the aeu86 community at the 5 year anniversary meeting of the Toyota Corolla Club this year on Midland Circuit Lelystad

For a mere 5 euros you could run around this small fun track endlessly and that resulted in our Hachi's being seen around the track the whole day.

It was a time trial and during the day it started to get really interesting when a AE92 GTi (driven by Michel H, also joined our forum I believe) and our very own Lennert Wanders (robokill) started to beat eachother with the fastest time. At the end of the day it seemed that Michel would have won as Lennert couldn't get below his 1:12? but half an hour before the end of the day Lennert finally put down the winning 1:11:something.

P.S. I didn't get below 1:15:something, I think Ivan got around that aswell, I dont know what P-nut and TE71 did but they were drifting most of the time and not going for the gastest time. Unfortunately TE71 went into the grass a few times and they had to send him off the track.

I didnt get below 1:16.06...It turned out I wasnt freaked out by the noise in my car for nothing..It seems that my left rear wheel bearing is worn out, I get loud grumbles in fast righthand turns now..Also slightly bent a brakedisc, not very badly though...
The fwd-rwd 4age battle was very entertaining though...robokill kept going at it like a madman untill he recaptured the first place.

Looks like I need to step up to koni or AGX shocks: just look at this pic.
It drives pretty wel with the tokico blues, never knew it had so much roll left in it. (Might also be because the rear stabi is only attached at one end).

Ivan, that wouldn't explain the role at the front though...Seeing a picture of my car like this convinced me to go to stronger springs and set my konis up differently.

I still need to buy shortstroke konis for front some day soon..
