Time to get it working again
Hello. Just signed up after a few years absence. I bought my UK AE86 back in 1990 when it was just called a Corolla. It’s been off the road about 20 years after the fuel pump packed up and I had to put it in storage. It also has a few rust issues but not nearly as bad as some I’ve seen and a few other small problems but now I see more parts becoming available and my son’s desire to drive it, now that he has a license, I guess it’s time to get it back on the road. I’m sure some advice will be needed. Cheers guys.

Time to get it working again
Welcome back!
![]() More and more aftermarket and reproduction parts have become available over the past 20 years. It's also a good sign that Toyota is also in the reproduction game via GR Hertiage parts. I enjoy my AE86 with daughter and I'm looking forward to the day when she's old enough to drive it herself. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop:

Time to get it working again
I introduced my son to initial D at an early age and he was hooked straight away. He was even more hooked when he realised that we had one down stairs in the garage and I think I went up a few steps on the dad scale. He's been waiting for the day when it would work once again and now he has a license I can't let him down. As soon as we've sorted the rust in the rear pockets the tank and fuel pump can go back then we have to sort out fuel lines.

Time to get it working again
When i bought my 86 it was with the main idea to bond with my dad. We always had a good partnership, but i was looking to really bond with mechanics and those happy moments that we only have when we achieve greatness.
And by greatness, i mean, unbolting that broken bolt that delayed the simple project of 1h to 3weeks. Welcome!
