I'm playing around with simple Matlab tool that I made to do some simple track calculations and simulations. Nothing fancy, just something to get to terms with speeds in gear, relative to power, lateral G's etc. Now one thing would need to model is the relative influence of air-resistance. COD is already mentioned by Apolan, but does anyone have some kind of estimate of frontal surface? I've seen a couple of 3d models drift by, those should allow a quick check of the relevant dimensions no? A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
