So as there are no major things to do on my baby i decided to build a 7AGE :-)

It will run high comp pistons, HKS 264° cams, bigger injectors.... nothing too serious, just little more torque as i need to run it on stock ECU for now.

So i wonder if i can take the service specifications from the 4AGE like torques, oil clearences, bearing thicknesses and stuff like that?

Cheers.

Lol, I´m planning to build a 7AGE as well, but hopefully going more crazy on the power/torque.

Good luck
Thumbs up!

Hehe, good luck for you too! Hurray!

So anybody knows something about the specs or even has a downloadable manual?

So as the 7AFE is fully stripped right now i need to collect parts. I found a set of piston´s i would choose, but they come with different c/r - 9:1 and 12:1...

So which one should i choose? Dumb question

12:1!

9:1 would be good if you plan to boost it

Good, thanks... Thumbs up! Still room to mess around with different headgaskets.

I need help cuz my head is about to explode.... Banging head

All this maths about C/R drives me crazy....

So i´m building a 7AGE... not an all out high spec million dollar race machine, just something with bit more torque for daily abuse.

I´ll take a bigport head, Supertech valves, HKS 264° cams, HKS valve springs, adjustable cam gear... nothing special.

Now the interessting point... i still can´t figure out what rods and pistons to use. Confused

I´m sure the stock rods will do the trick but the problem is that the small end is too small to fit 4AGE pistons for higher compression. So i was thinking about modifying them to take 20mm pins...

Now which pistons and headgasket should i use to get a decent c/r that is a compromise between a good amount of horsepower and not blowing the rebuild engine?

Cheers Marco

Rods: you don't have many choices... if you use the 7AF crank you have to use the 7AF rods (or aftermarket like This )

Pistons:
Far as I know 7af rods have 20mm wrist pin, just like any late 4AG...

For me the real problems will start wen you fit the engine in the bay, remember the block is almost 20mm taller so the exhaust header may no fit properly...
