Could you give a bit more info on this.
I would like to upgrade the brakes in the near future but due to regulations the mazda calipers are not an option and i dont really want them

something like 1 piston calipers with arround 250/260 mm disks would be perfect .

For street use. The Hondas EK9 calipers are direct bolt on.

this sounds very interesting. if I remember correct some prelude has the matching disc size (282) in 4*114.3.

After doing some googling Honda Legend and NSX NA1 might also be an option.

Does anyone have the OEM AE86 setup apart and can weight (caliper with or without pads), measure (distance of mounting holes to each other and hub center, offset of disc-center to hubface) all the bits? I just recently rebuilt my fronts but forgot to do it and don't fancy taking them out again.

I use new of everything:
OEM caliper
EBC disc
EBC pads
Steel inforced hoses

Works fine in Sweden. However havent tried them in subzero, but I have no reason to doubt it would work in cold. Smile

I think front brakes are who stops the car, rear are "only" a helper (....especially to drift Big Grin)

If it can helps anybody:
I use T3 Wilwood kit (Wilwood forged Dynalite + 280mm slotted and drilled disc), i had a problem because my brake booster - BMC are zenki...a bit small, the pedal was too soft. I replace the BMC for a Hiace's one (with starlet EP71 deposit because hiace's one touched the booster) and now is a bit hard...but works perfect!!

The wilwood BP10 pads have the "cold problem" and i'm waiting to get the EBC Yellowstuff to replace

bump

anyone knows any info on the honda civic ek9 front brake upgrade
Couldnt find anything on the internet about it.

do the calipers and the disks fit?
I found some from arround the 260 mm range

for the back stock calipers with the s13 adapterplate and disks looks like the way to go for me

I found some EK9 caliper info here:
http://www.ek9.org/forum/brakes/16375-ca...3-ek9.html
Apparently AE86 mounting hole span is 5.5" = EK9 140mm.
