Toda 288 - Cam timing
Does anyone have, or know where I can find the suggested cam timing specs for a set of Toda 288 7.9mm lift cams?
I have searched the net but can’t find the manufacturers suggested cam timing. This is what I got from one of the posts in the thread.
Max Lift @ IN 100 ATDC/ EX 100 BTDC, or 100/98. Determine true TDC of piston #1 in phase 2 of cycle. Mark on degree wheel. Turn crank & degree wheel 100 ATDC (clockwise) Twist inlet cam in the adj gear until Max Lift occurs. Tighten screws. Turn crank & degree wheel 100 BTDC (anti-clockwise) Twist ex cam in the adj gear until Max Lift occurs. Tighten screws. Cam timing should be set. http://www.eight-six.co.uk - read the blog!
