Took me about a day's work (10h) to get this far. I'm not worlds fastest fabricator Big Grin.
I just want to get the job done this year (chassis-work).

Small update (and a question for the walking 86 dictionairies among us).
I opened up the front chassis beam yesterday in order to weld a captive nut back in place (it had broken loose due to being towed regularly with slack on the bolt). I destroyed the bumper bolt in the process (the one that bolts up to the front, not the top-down one). I really need this bolt to be able to mount my car in a rotisserie, but it's some bloody impossible to find size, as toyota seems to prefer to use.

Does anyone know the exact size & thread by any chance? I can measure it up myself if it's a size that's in my tap&die kit, but I might as well ask first.

Update time again! Havent got much done.. just some cleaning mostly, which I think I will be doing plenty of in the coming month.

She's up in the rotisserie!

Result of a little inspection round:

The car fell off the jack 2 weeks ago... appears to have landed on the rear pocket Sad. Not to worry, it's out of sight and there was rust in the wheelwell above it so I will take the time to straighten it out.

The old frame rail where it meets the new one. Need to fill the gap. The bar was put in place to keep things sturdy.

Big bummer: more rot in the right rear frame rail. I'll have to inspect if it is sound beneath the panhard mount, otherwise I have a lot of drilling ahead of me.

Dropped the front subframes because the car is to heavy to turn with all that crap hanging underneath it. (Mainly the rear axle which weighs a ton).

The result of one hour cleaning (almost)... this is going to take forever!

Left rear sill needs some attention.. it's probably a little worse
than it looks on the inside judging by the sound of the metal there.

Framerail rear left.. nothing as bad as the right side, but this will be fixed.

A peak in the trunk above my new bit of frame rail.

Time to get my finger oot as they say across the channel.

Sunday afternoon update:

Rear axle dropped, the car can now actually be turned in the rotisserie (it was way to heavy to do this before). Corny vid FTW.

Levitation is one of my many talents:

All in all I patched 1 hole in the floor, and replaced a dented section of frame rail where the car was lifted by a 2-pole bridge (Remember kids: these are the devil for old cars!).
Sadly I found another 2 new holes in the front left corner shortly afterwards. Will need to drill out the first framerail to sill outrigger to fix it.
This is starting to look more and more like cannabolics car by the week...

Current doctrine is to patch a minimum of 2 holes a week, then clean another section that is suspect, or that needs to be welded. New holes will keep popping up, but I'm sure I will run out of them sooner or later.

Some more pics of general garage-SK antics:

I never knew that song was linked with meatswinging.. But I'm sure we can all agree we'd rather watch the car spinning. Big Grin

@Cannabolic: I have a spare roll of wire, dont you worry. It's the gas that costs me the most.
