Hmmm, I think I fixed it: images can be accessed directly but can't from a wrong referer...
Problem is that the vroom vroom image is still in everyones browsercache, so if you still see the image: press the reload button.

I can't find the place I did it at the moment but search for cache on the php.net site and there should be some instructions how you can use the header to force a refresh of the cache for a document.
