Home made Hachi Roku / AE-71
So, I haven't even touched the hachi this whole winter, becouse it's in a cold carage, and it would be pretty difficult to weld in there... Undecided But I've been building another car, a TE-71 coupe, that I've put the 4A-GE into. The engine is already in and running, and car goes pretty nicely around the corners, I still have pretty much to do before I can register it, but I hope it's gonna be this week when it gets plates Cool I've got a new website where I'll put all the pictures into: http://www.koti.mbnet.fi/daiju

EDIT: Now there's even 2 small videos of the nearly first test drives...

Haven't been here for a while.. Anyway, note to all: When you've got a freshly rebuild 4A-GE and the startermotor signal wire gets loose, don't start the car by putting a wrench between the terminals on the startermotor. I did that and accidentally connected the wrench to the oilfilter at the same time "welding" a small hole on the filter Angry I of course did not see this bofere I had driven a few kilometres and lost 3 litres of oil, my new bearings and pistonrings were ruined

Well now I finally recieved new parts after waiting 3 months for them. I already assembled the engine and fitted it back to the TE-71 last weekend. This weekend I'm hoping to get the engine running once again.. I'm gonna have time to weld the hachiroku once again after army which starts next year, but slowly does it for me!

ps. Sorry for all the typo's!

Hi again! It's been a while sens I've been here, I've spent this whole year in the Finnish Defence Forces so haven't had too much spare time, It's gonna be like this for the whole year.. BUT, I've had enough time to trade the TE-71 away and got a KP-36 pick-up in exchange The car is a lot of fun to drive as it's wery light, I can lift up the rear tires all alone Thumbs up! So a lot of wheelspin caused the "drive-shafts?" joint to brake and the whole shaft fell on the road, fixed that on the road and its been running strong sense that. I've been building a new 4K engine for the Timangi (KP-36), and I'm currently planning to start welding the Hachi Roku first thing next year once I'm out of the army Hurray! Oh yes, sold out that spare 4A-GE, its gonna go on a TA-14 that was the prettiest Carina I've ever seen Tongue

Ps, sorry if this is too offtopic as so little progress has been made on the hachi Sad
