Home made Hachi Roku / AE-71
Well here's my AE86 project, the car has so much rust that It would almost be easier to start making a new car... As my dad said, you'll have to throw a piece of welding in the air, and start building the car from there...

CLICK

The body has'nt really gone forward sense I took those pics, as I've only been home on weekends, and I've been rebuilding the engine all the time. Once I get the engine ready, I'll move the car inside and continue on working on the body. I've got big plans for the car, and also already have some parts for it, waiting for installation, but more about them when they're installed...

The engine and gearbox are going on sale once the engine is up and running again, still need to polish a lot of parts before installing, so It'll be a while before it's ready.

ALMOST FORGOT THESE PICS
AND THESE

Fixing that car up will definately earn you huge respect.. Good call on the N2 fender kit...will make life a lot easier around the wheel arches.
From the looks of it I'd get some nice big sideskirts as well so you dont have to worry about the cosmetic aspects of ther repairs underneath those as well.

It was one of the main reasons for the N2's that it makes it a lot easier to weld the rear fenders, and I'm also planning on side skirts to hide all the welding in the skirts... I'm hopeful that the car will be running some time next summer, but we'll see, from the beginning of next year, I'll also be home on most evenings, so I'll have a lot more time to work on the car...

I haven't had any time to build the car because of school/work, but I've managed to get the engine almost running, I'm planning on installing it to an old Tercel lying in our yard with a blown engine to see how it works, and then sell the engine and transmission to the highest bidder...

Pics of the engine as it was:

AND THIRD

And pics og the engine as it's almost finished:

AND SEVENTH

I also changed all the worn parts for new ones and refinished the valves (don't know the correct term for that).....

Euh, will it fit the tercel? Tercel is FWD afaik.
Anyway: what's going in your hachi instead? Dumb question

Ouer Tercel is actually 4WD, and after I take the correct fuse away, It'll be a pure RWD... The Tercel has a 4A engine based on the same block, and it's engine is installed the same way, so it should fit in real easy, the clucth is my only concern...
