Garth New Boyo AE86 Project
Hi to all,

Just been browsing through the forum, and there are some impressive cars out there. So I'll tell you about myself and what i'm doing.....

I live in South Wales, UK and bought an AE86 2 years ago. I haven't done much with it, due to cash flow problems. I bought it for £1500 of a mate and fair play it was a nice car, usual bit of rust here and there. It's a face lift C reg thing in black. I reckon I bought the last chep one around. I have bought the car to do road rallies in the welsh championship. It's sort of a shared project with my father, who spends most of the cash on it, as I just do all the monkey work.

Since then I have bought a newish tail gate for it, poly bushes full kit, grp4 escort bilsteins and grp4 springs and an Ashley 4 branch manifold. All I am waiting on is some front struts, then I can put her into storage. Unfortunately, it has been exposed to the weather, so it has deteriorated slightly in the last year. I have also bought a Safety Devices Roll Cage, complete with diagonal and door bars, from West Wales Rally Spares for £395 with VAT. What a bargain.

The list, as all of you know goes on for ever. Plans for the future are interior e.g bucket seats, full harnesses etc, mechanically its a bit more e.g. Hydraulic Handbrake, Sump and Tank Guard, Ford Type 9 5 speed straight Cut Close Ratio Gear Box, full Ashely exhaust system, yoko/advan a021R's, quaife quick rack, shift kit, cams, lightened and balanced, paddle clutch.

Hopefully I 'll be starting a new job soon so it will be built, welded and painted by april next year. I have bought a new digi cam, so i'll try and up load a few pics for you guys to see.

Cheers.

No problem at all, Its just that we normally want to keep introductions and projects seperate to prevent the newmembers section getting clogged up with large project threads. But we can't stop you from posting pictures of your car right here. Wink

If you click on "Post Reply" you have the ability to attach a picture, and it will resize the picture automatically. Wink
Only thing is that the maximum filesize is 2MB, so your pictures should be smaller than that Tongue
