people prefer the sr20 because its huge aftermarket support, its an aluminum block, which actually is barely lighter, and comes turbo, so from the factory is already beefed up to withstand turbo applications, the bottom end has more structural support. but in my opinion i dont like the sr due to its head design, the best head design is the ca18, which is identical to the rb motors, cam over valve set up, instead of floating rocker arms , i prefer timing belts not chains, the SR. was actually built to be an ecomony engine for nissan to replace the ca18det which had a much more higher cost to build. so ca18 has my vote any day, but the KA24 PUTS OUT KILLER TORQUE!!!

Exactly, SR20's are overhyped, wich is better for me
Plus the ka can handle 300hp and more without touching
the internals. I just got a little carried away and added too
much timing when I was tuning it, and cracked a ring land.
I'll get some video for you guys.

I like it.. dont know much about that engine, but it sure sounds like a practical choice. Better spend 1500 dollars on a very nice turbo setup than on a tired stock SR20DET.

Thanks guys, update tried launching a few times with some drag radials
and I snapped the input shaft on the tranny
launching it at 5,000 rpms and 10si never felt so good
BTW wheels are Centerlines 15x8 front 15x9 rear and yes it a supra rear.

or did you just swap motors in the pics, I notice all the colors and stuff where different.
