I know there were 5 sold as hatchback (of about 200 sold) within the Netherlands, but those are an exception to the rule. There is only one known survivor of those 5.
Hatchbacks aren't that difficult to find: Portugal, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, France and Greece all got the hatchback. Only the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Portugal got the two door.

There are many shells for sale. The issue is mostly finding and sourcing the necessary parts.

i want to know if there are any sales sheets from belgium for the ae86.
i have seen many shells one rolling and 2 bare shells all 2 doors.
a while ago i saw a great looking ae86 sliver 2 door for sale it was almost new i will try to find a picture.

There are no official records in the Netherlands on how many were sold. All we have is a guess based on the number of dealerships and the number they were supposed to sell each year, which is roughly 200. I expect the same for Belgium.
Also, there were many cars imported into Europe, but never registered, as they were destined for racing. Both rally and circuit races under Group A rules were performed with the AE86.

it would be a good guess because i have never seen a ae86 irl my friend has he told me that one was in his street but he didnt take a picture.

My car was also an ex-belgian rally car. If you can live with it being ‘slightly’ Tongue

beat up it could be a ‘cheaper’ option to get into the hobby. Be aware, over the course of a decade i spend well over 3x of what i bought the car for on parts/maintenance. Toyota dealer can still order lots of parts but they’ll look at you funny over time. Flos.ie is great, spend well over 3k in that shop, great selection and fast/reliable shipping.

Let's say, last time they were able to source the parts I needed, but 5 out of 10 times they can't because it's simply not available (I have an RHD car), or they don't want to order it all the way from Japan. In addition to that, the other 4 times out of 10, they make a fuss that I don't have a usable VIN for them, and only 1 out of 10, they order the partnumbers I have written down and stress that it's my own responsibility. And then the price is often higher than what I would pay for it from Japan, including shipping.
So yeah, for me, I prefer to order new parts via Flos.ie. If Flos doesn't have it, search for new parts on Buyee and get it from there.
