Clutches
I would just like to share my experiences.
When my pressure plate broke after hard starting I went to Japanparts shop with the plate. There were 2 replacment types, ae86/ae92 and toyota 4-runner/hi-ace (kombi) reinforced plate. Of course, i've bought the stronger one (no price difference). You know how much i drifted with my car and I didn't have alomost no problems with slipping. Here is the picture of original pressur plate vs the 4-runner/hi-ace. Do I have to tell you that TRD plate looks exactly the same as the second one (not to mention the Daikin logo, so same factory). Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |

Ok, here is the part no from the box, just in case some one is intrested.
Jamiemirror says it's the Ae92 pressure plate, but i can confirm that it worked ok on my car and now it's on hachi from Kas (bluetop). So no problems. Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |

Clutches
i have been daily driving / drifting with my padle clutch for 12000 km without any problems at all. and it does not slip even when you launch it @ 5500 rpm with hot semi slicks.....
+ it only cost aprox 160 euro to get it rebuilt with new cintermetal pads and flywheel + pressure plate regrinding, or what it is called.... Just my experience with trd clutch... Lasse I still play with cars...... ![]() |

Yup, AE92/MR2/AE86 clutches are the same (200mm, there is a bigger version 212mm and you must use 212mm flywheel). Often the bearing is different, but plates are bolt on. http://www.japanparts.it/japan/ITALIA/in...fm?lang=uk Here we can find this clutch under AE92 GTI model (again, no problem to use it on AE86 cars). |

Clutches
Hi guys,
The clutch i sell is exactly the same as the TRD pressure plate I do have a idea that most pressure plates are made in the same factory but go into sevral diffrent boxes I can lower the "customs" but if something is lost or damaged then that is something i can not control Max [email protected] |

O BTW only 1 paying customer has had a AE86 clutch wear out (4AGZE)
he is John Yim (Formula D competior) from Houston Texas he used the car at about 60 track events i am guessing I did send him a replacement unit for free but at last he told me he was selling the car and had no use for the clutch he had planned to return it but never did Max [email protected] |
