Whuhahahahaha, C-pillar bars are for those that want the cool-look of rollcages, but none of the inpracticality, safety or structural rigidity..

A sure sign of morons with too much money and not enough common sense.

A pedal to steer the rear

Isn't a C-Pilar bar that thing you mount just right after the front seats on the pilar of the car? Dumb question

Ehh, Art you mean B-pillar, C is where hatch closes.

And then you have floorbars..... LOL They bolt up with ONE tiny bolt to your seatbelt mounting point... right.

Check TE71' project, talkin' about bars.... Hurray!

I just cannot understand the morons mounting these bars..no reinforcement of the area underneath or nothing..

Whenever you do happen to get involved in a crash, you have just guaranteed that there will be a large iron bar flying through the cabin, ready to knock you senseless..

[yes, they are the ones that attach to the pilars where the hatch opens]

A pedal to steer the rear

Right... I understand. I could not imagine placing a bar over there. Confused
But only one bolt? However is that going to give enough stiffness? Huh

It isn't..

For illustration: take a cardboard box. For ease of flex, remove the top (or if you're really a manly man, leave it on).

Now keep one end of the box fixed and push on one of the corners on the opposite side..you have just simulated typical suspension stresses on a chassis..

Now, take a tootpick or sate-thingy and mount that in the middle of the box..
Re-apply pressure and watch in awe as you see that bar mooves freely with the box and does absolutely zilch for structural rigidity...

Now mount the same tootpick in a diagonal fashion and observe why rollcages do work..

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear
