Bushings!:)
Bumb for an old thread, since we're all busy with bushings again, I made all the pictures in this thread work Smile

One day I'll do a new writeup with all the stuff I've learned in the past year and with fresh new pictures. Just need to find a car to abuse Smile

I could use new bushings. Smile haha.

Btw, i have a bit of "play" in the drivetrain. When for example riding in second very slow, the car sometimes begins to "shiver" in a front-back direction. (bit difficult to explain)

Are there any bushing i need to change to eliminate this "play" in the drivetrain?

Not sure what you mean by that but it doesn't sound like something related to the suspension. Not many bushings in the drive train, they are all bearings or gears that could have play.

Aren't you just driving to slow? i know my engine starts to act up if I drive to slow and it hits the idle control Wink press the clutch and it rolls smoothSmile

err..yes i believe like 15km/u in second gear.
but i just feels like it got some play along the shaft.
Mayde its just the old age and wear of the diff and stuff.

I know that s13's have this sort of problems too. It's the subframe bushing most of the time.
I was wondering if by changing the 4link bushings that play would get less or not.

I've changed most of those bushings but still have some play, but I'm sure that play is in the gears of either the gearbox or the diff...

We'll have to see when though, 4 weeks and I'm a father so I dont think there will be much time to tinker with cars in the very near future

I have the same play in my drivetrain. I'm pretty sure its the diff. The gearbox is fine and I think its not a bushing problem. A few people on this forum opened their original diff and there was some kind of part broken. It could be the same problem for us.
