I'd like to help, but have little time on my hands these days.. done a little skinning for phpBB before.. not an artist with photoshop or GIMP though, but I do know my way around GIMP..

I fixed this now. Just updated everyones preferences to be "receive pms".

Anyway, I still could not find the original photoshop. I know it used to be on my old laptop but I gave that away about one year ago...after I formatted it first.

I can make a zipfile of the previous phpbb template directory though. So if needed: drop me an email or pm.

Perhaps some discussion about what direction to take would be useful before people fire
up their graphical software.
What color scheme do we want for the forum (or perhaps 2 variants).
Will we be doing a new header pic for the forum and website? I feel the old one was starting
to appear rather dated. etc.

It's often easiest (for me at least) to learn skinning by just taking existing theme's and
modding them to suit my own requirements.

Last skin was based upon the red/black panda scheme, so perhaps this time go for the white/black panda scheme?

That's the reason I included it.. although the red look has been with us for so long it's kind of the first color that springs to mind when thinking of AEU86.

Would be nice to have a single style that looks good in multiple color combinations so you can personalize if you want, but still keep the same main look and feel.
Probably not too difficult to do if we keep it lean and mean.

I think a good start would be if someone with Photoshop skills (don't have any, can barely draw with a pen) would create a preliminary look. That way we would have a goal to aim for.
