4AGE Valve Buckets Scored
Our 16v has shim under buckets, but after running for a while they have picked up and scored their bores.
Has anyone had this before and what was your easiest way to dres the scoring in the head back so we can fit some new buckets? |

4AGE Valve Buckets Scored
You might be able to clean up the surface with a brake cylinder hone. But first find out what caused the problem. Possible cam profile or restricted oil to the cylinder head?

The shafts are TRD stamped but I don't know the history, I'm tempted to put it down to being too cold on the dyno, I dont have any logging during the mapping run but I think we had a bit too much airflow. some very big blanking plates will be going on before she runs again. |
