The socials are full of similar pictures (and probably better quality Tongue) but they will disappear in the growing mess soon. So I attached a few to this post Smile

Nice AE86World banner in the pits!

This was the AE86 area of the show. I didn't count them, but there were many.

A nice lineup of cars following the marshal car after the parade-lap. They were all leaving the show afterwards.

The non-carguy friend made it a sport to capture the behavior of me and the others in a carshow. Apparently this is looking at engine bays (there's like 20 photo's like this Love it! )

And a closer picture of the pickup. It was quite a decent transformation. The bed was usable and it looks like the suspension pickups were all in original position. So it probably still drives like an AE86.

Lovely simple AE86. Not a lot of modification is needed to make them look good (if you preferer the modified look ofcourse)

With a different bonnet, FRP bumper and a spoiler you get something like this.

And the Winds auto Levin was probably the most extremely modified one. SR20 powered with rear radiator. Properly driven on track.

Quite a few TRD kitted cars were present. Maybe I'm biased, but I think this is the kit to go for if you want a widebody. Keeps it period Smile

This car is an insanely proper build. Decent cage, all fresh electronics and a K-swap with ITB's. Don't know who owns it, but was the showstopper on track. Drove almost every session and was driven very hard.

There were quite a few dodgy cars on track to be honest Angel

Also some different Toyota's on track. They started allowing them a few years ago. This is of course a car that fits in, but now there were also driving quite a few JXZ's and IS200's. I'm not sure this improves the track action t.b.h. The speed difference is quite big. I always enjoyed watching ~200hp cars trying to do a mega entry of the first corner from the grandstands. Usually people were trying to tandem that corner also.

Due to the bigpower cars now blasting through the field and overtaking every time it looked like everyone was holding back. It looked quite sketchy sometimes because of the speed difference.

This is a book that I guess most people here already have:

This one is obviously not 86 related, but its an interesting book that is very well written. Its written and extremely well researched by Shin Yoshikawa.
Toyota 2000GT, Kai Art International:

The last one I'll post here for now is published by Haynes (yes, that Haynes) in 1986 and I really enjoyed reading it. It gives a good overview of the history of the major Japanese manufacturers and seems (mostly) well researched.

The interior is almost immaculate:

The car came with a Levin driving guide. I bought the same thing a few years ago and it's basically a graphic version of the normal AE86 booklet.

Having got this kit for my birthday last year, I'm starting with this:

As some of you may know, Edd China came back from Wheeler Dealers to a new kind of series on youtube. As there's only one episode aired, we thought we should give it a try.

one week after uploading it, the official edd china garage revival channel replied and then, set what would become the instructions on how to get in touch with them and we went crazy hahaha

anyway, if youre interested on what we've been doing on the car, there's plenity of videos on that hachi roku spain channel, but the coolest ones are the one in wich we start the engine for the first time after the rebuild, and those trying to learn to drift.

hope you enjoy it, and fingers crossed for that edd china helping us finishing the car! hahaha

The roads them selfs where mostly all twisty back roads so a lot of fun was had, coupled with the noise of the cars going through the Glens made for a nice soundtrack. Also got a chance to put the new suspension to work. Car handled great and kept up well and gave some hassle to my friends Calinda GTT (basically a family GT4). Cant wait for the better weather to take this out on more drives!

Both chassis rails have been shaved off and are cracked open, front subframe has been scraped for at least two to three millimeters and the front lower control arms show thinned metal around their pivot points! Blush Huh

I think they are lucky with no salt on the roads during wintertime in Japan. Smile
