In the walkaround video Derek mentions it is one of the most stock cars he ever seen. Literally the only modifications on this car are:
1. 14 inch Black Racing wheels (with OEM spec tires: 185/60)
2. Short shifter
3. OMP steering wheel
4. Stainless steel exhaust
5. AE92 trunk decals
6. Aftermarket stereo
7. Replaced battery (yes, I'm really making it look silly now)

So the question becomes, what I'll do with it. Keep it bone stock and make it a driving museum, or mod it and make it perfect in a totally different definition. Big Grin
Yours has shifter and steering wheel changed, mine has suspension changed - only difference. I'd keep it stock and make it kind-of-driving-museum with some benefits. Stock/mint 86es are rare as hell, so I'd stay with that.

A good suspension with a little drop and a decent alignment would make it look and drive better, but it's already
a beauty IMO. Modded 86's are the norm, a good looking stock trueno is something you dont see that often.
As he says.

The exhaust actually is a Tanabe Hyper Medallion, so someone spent quite some money on a really a high grade durable exhaust! Huh
Nice review! Your front seats are in much better shape than mine. You're also missing the trunk liner.

Thanks! I won't be installing coil overs then. Big Grin
More seriously: I have to look and see what I'll do and don't.

Yes indeed. TBH: I have no idea where to get one. I guess I'll probably end up with some carpet solution.

Why no coil overs? It's an easy reversable mod if you ever want to go back to stock.

Yes, it depends on the coilover package you choose. Let's put it differently: it's not high on my list right now... First get it registered, then restore whatever is broken/dodgy on the car and then see what mods I can do further. Big Grin

Original and spotless, that would be an exceptional AE86 anywhere in the world.
Quite a challenge to realize, original parts can be found, but seat backs and all that kind
of stuff was never built all that well so you'd need to find creative ways to fix those up.

Anyway, I love the car!

I did see a set of blue back seats for sale in Belgium, but the price was a bit on the high side.
I can always see how much repairing it by an upholsterer would cost and then decide what to do.

Now that I've seen that car, DAMN! IT IS CLEAN!
I love it Smile

You CAN buy new seat backs on occasion but they are often Daylight robbery: I've seen carbon ones for cheaper.
