Trunk and fuel door cable

I came across this auction earlier this week:

A complete set. Not new old stock, but including the fuel door opener.


As you can see, you will pull the cable out by pulling the handle upwards, then on the other side of the cable will be attached to this fuel door opener or the trunk release:

It will pull the black pin inwards, where the black pin keeps the fuel door shut by retaining the lock latch. That's also another way to open it if the cable fails: just open it using the lock.
As far as I know all AE86 boot locks have the ability to be opened using the cable.
