Gearbox mount and transmission mount
Hello everyone!

I am trying to order Cusco transmission mount. A European site offers a Cusco gearbox mount , the American site offers a transmission mount.

Is a transmission mount the same as a gearbox mount?
They look the same, but I wanna know for sure.

Thanks!

Bloody Americans and the their version of "English"! (that's a joke btw, I don't hate Americans)

It would be useful to post the links if you're really uncertain, but yes they are the same component. What else could it be?

Like Power_uP says: it's US versus UK English. Just like bonnet vs hood and boot vs trunk.
Here are some of the most obvious ones: https://www.adrianflux.co.uk/uk-us-car-part-names/

1982 - TA60 Carina 4dr sedan - fun cruiser
1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project
2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver
2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain

They are one and the same.
Can you post up a review of it versus a standard mount?
I'm interested in getting one.
Thanks

From what I heard, it lowers the center of gravity by about 1 cm. It’ll also make my car shake a lot.

You would need to buy the Cusco gearbox and engine mounts as a set if you want the lowered CoG, otherwise you'll only set your engine at a weird backward tilt. No idea about the shaking.. I think Robokill had a set of these installed. But then you wouldnt notice any additional shaking with the ridiculously stiff TRD springs he had installed.

I had the equivalent set from TechnoProSpririt. Was a little bit of additional shaking when at idle and at very low speeds, but it was fine when driving normal speeds. If we're realistic though, the AE86 isn't the most refined car in the world anyway, so a small amount of extra shake isn't the end of the world.

Thanks for the feedback.
Any links to the European supplier?
I'd need both gearbox and engine mounts.
