Howsit everybody! i been meaning to join this forums too, just for giggles, since i'm already on hr.net, c4ag, and dk. looks like my work productivity is going to go down yet another notch. haha! anyways. here is a relatively recent pic of my lil blue ae86 coupe.

she's a gts and is sitting on 16x7.5 SSR Professor SP1R. i plan on going 16x8 in the rear as soon as the dollar to yen exchange rate improves a little bit Sad d'oh!
previously, she was sitting on some 15x7 dori doris (which are for sale but local seattle buyers only - SORRY!)

here's a shot of my soon-to-be-upgraded engine bay. my good buddy painted it flat black for me. TASTY! i have a new intake manifold (small port to match my hi-comp engine) and a new silkroad exhaust manifold that still needs to be installed.

you can view my worklog here - http://www.hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1069

Nice! Thumbsup
One of the advantages of a black enginebay is that it always looks clean. Wink

So you removed the entire engine out of the car just to paint the engine bay?

Or did you somehow do it with all that stuff in there?

thanks for the kind words everybody! i had a local shop do an engine swap cause my tired old bluetop low comp had rod knock and was about to blow a headgasket. we sourced a jdm front clip from an ae92 kouki. i had the engine bay painted while the old bluetop was out. i have a buddy that owns his own tow truck. haha. another buddy painted the engine bay for my with a little (and i mean very little) help from me Wink haha. it was a little bit of a hassle but well worth it - how often are you gonna have the whole engine out, right?

Indeed we got the 3 point safety belts. But they are quite rare here in Europe as well because they were only installed as an option.
