Since drifting is a sport that many of AE86 owners enjoy and practice, it only makes sence to have a drifters forum on a AE86 targetted site. In this forum we'll be discussing how to setup your car, discuss our experience at drifting events and drifting competitions, and talk about the different techniques in order to drift.
Also we want to give a word of warning out to you kids out there that bought your car because you saw Takumi drift in Initial D. No matter how much I love that cartoon and no matter how much the people behind the cartoons want the cartoon to be realistic, in the end, it is just a cartoon!
In real life, people who drift their cars buy new tires every week (or get them from sponsers) and regularly need to do maintenance to your car.
It also requires real skill to become good at drifting. Practice where it is safe, don't do this out on the streets. It may seem cool to your buddies, but you're just putting yourself and most importantly, innocent bystanders in danger.
That said, go have fun! This is probably the most fun thing you can do with a car, and nowadays there are more and more oppertunities to do this in a safe environment:) Just be prepared to spend major $$$
