I liked the zastava 101.. would be a fun driftcar if you ask me (assuming it was RWD, I was driven aroud in these cars when I was a lil lad).

101 is FWD... Z750 was RWD... 750ccm mean machine, had one of my own... 101 had 1100 and 1300 engines...
vladx fitted some Uno Turbo front mask and headlamps on his... (not the way you fix your Hachi, if you ask me... but for some that is cool )

Bad news guys...
Today, when driving from my home to town, I was in a big hurry... And Chiro obviously didn't like me driving him some 200km/h for a few minutes...
My hedgasket broke... I had steam blowing on exhaust, and underneeth the car, the water temperature was fine, but than I realized, the cooler was empty, the coolant pot was full so obviously he steemed out the water and...
Eniways... this is how I am going to spent my Xmas holydays...
We alreasy took the camshafts out, but I don't have the torx wrench for the bolts, so the head will go down tomorow...
more of this later... I am still in shock... I hope this is all just a bad dream...
I gues thou this is a touch from upstairs... something bad had to happen today...
First off my turn signals didn't work... so I took the car to electrician and fixed it... than, on my way to town, some jerk from Bosnia went to my lane, driving some 100km/h, I was at 190km/h... Braking blocking the tires, smoke pooring out, I would of hit him if he hadn't move the last second... I would of crashed, werry bad... who knows... That could of been the end... It was so close... we were some 0,5m or so when he moved...

Just take it a bit more carefull man, bad things can happen at those speeds, especially on those roads you guys have, and some of the weirdos running loose on them in decrepid old cars.
You dont need a torx head for those bolts.. torx are like inbus bolts, only with more splines on them (dunno if that's the english word but it doesnt matter much). The headbolts have the profile on the outside, you need those 12-sided sockets (pretty standard) to get them loose.
I hope a new head gasket will sort it out.. depends on how long it was running hot.

2 Ivan- the bolts are not a problem... I have the tools in the garage on coledge where we are building the Formula Student Car... The whole set of Gedore. BUT, the garage is closed till saturday... as everything else, so, I will take the head down with a standard wrench, hopefully not braking the nuts (the head of the nuts) and then get the momentum wrench and the torx from the coledge... No problem...
rio was of big help, he brought the SST (hint: by sst I mean the tool this little guy on the picture has on his belt ) and helped to take the pullys off
some more pics
Big thanx to Zax!!! He gave me the head gasket set today!!! Zax I'll pay you back as soon as I can!! You're the man, man!!!
I hope, as things are now, realysm is that Chiro will be back on track by next friday!!!
I'll get by with a little help from my friends!! Thanx guys for helping me!!
Zax
Rio
Tom
Mario
Maria- for the garage, heating, warm rum tea, beer, food and your car (my girlfriend- she kicks ass )
Meshin
and all

2 Ivan & Vlad thanx... I got to admit, those guys are of big help... I would of give up, or postponed the job, but this way its funn all night
The head is on!!!
Last night I wanted to take the head of and to take it to the machining in the morning. But I hadn't had the tools to doit (remember the 12 side socket?)...
Fortunately since beeing a EVO magazine part-time worker, Branimir (cheef editor) let me use a test Mazda 3 for a few days to get back on track. May I remind you, both of my cars died... Starlet had eaten his distributor and I hadn't have a spear, since everything was closed till saturday, I was paralized...
So I set in the Mazda, went to Zax. He gave me the socket but we werent sure if that will fit trought to the bolt... Got the momentum wrench and set off home (from me to Zax's place it is about 50km)... So, I got home, but the socket could't get trough... I was mad and mizerable... Fortunately, as I was speaking to Meshin earlyer about the problem, he mentioned it to Riza (english Rice he is a Honda lover-mechanic-freak dude that has almost everything Proxon Tools can offer).
Riza called me, said: "I GOT THE TOOLS!!! WHERE AND WHEN!!???"
So Meshin, Riza, Pale, Marin, Mario and Tom came to my girlfriend's place, brought the tools and the head was off in a blink of an eye...
Than Riza got ainctious... He couldn't wait till tomorow... He did some 5 engines for street race just by cleaning the gasket leftovers down and putting the new gasket on... and the cars run still... So he persuaded us all to do it all in one night... He said that the car will fire and run till 3am
He and I got to work, the rest were making the atmosphere... just talking about cars, races and drags on everyday driving... it was fun... cold (outside was some - but fun...
Anyways the head was on, tightened, with camshafts till 3 o'clock...
I didn't had the exhaust gasket and some hoses were broken during the process so I had to buy new ones... but if i did had it all Chiro would fire around 3,30 and we would be on a test drive... amazing!!!
Today is the next episode, althought I will be working alone (if I find the will because I had only 4hours of sleep)... Tomorow, more likely...
Will my Hachi fire? Will it work? How long will it take me to do the job?
Find out in the next few posts of "Chiro- another Croatian AE86"...
comming up soon- how we all got drunk and sang kumbaya by the heater in the garage while mending my car LOL...
2 Mr Monster- just take 1L of rum, heat it up a bit and put some tea bags in to take the flavour (just kiding...- ordinary fruit tea with some 1/5 ratio of rum...)
