So right now we are at the following stage:

The fuel goes into the fuel rail and comes out through the return. We are not sure if it is actually going into the chamber.

When we start the car all we hear is a crank. When we remove the spark plugs we don't know if the plugs are actually firing, since we took out out in a dark room and saw no spark.

One thing that might be causing it (out of a vast amount of things) is the lack of a proper fuel injector box. We have one with 3 wires going into two plugs.

Please advise!

Super Thanks

Check if the spark is jumping from the plugs (crank the engine with the spark plug leaned against the cylinder head for example).

The engine timming is correct?

If you have injection and no ignition, the spark plugs will get wet with fuel, so this way you can determine if the injection is occuring or not (and also you will smell the gasoline in the air).

Yeah check the relay to the starter and make sure you see voltage.

If you put a timing light on your lead from coil to dissy you will see if your coil is firing.

If you're getting no fuel and no spark, it's most probably the ECU that's at fault. The fuel pump grounds out without the aid of the ECU, so going through the fuel rail is normal, even if the ECU is not sending out a signal.

Also your crank/starter motor is seperate entirely from the ECU so that will work fine also.

Do you hear your ECU click when you turn on the ignition? if not, then check the fuses and relays that lead to it.

As for the 3 wires in two injectors? that sounds a bit off if you ask me, you may want to get another injector connector and sort out the wiring there.
