gsrturbo: I got my stuff through Aazuma trading (aka Mail Order Japan) and they are the ones who package it neatly. I personally don't think the normal sellers on auctions yahoo would go through this amount of trouble. But then again: the handling costs are quite high.

Finally brought the CS rims to a sandblaster and they are going to get a silver-grey coating this week as well. Coating is the same color as the Carina GT-R had and that's exactly what I had in mind. Smile

I'm also going to need tires for them and I already decided upon Falken. I'm still doubting between 185/60 and 195/60: 195/60 was what the GT-R originally had but 185 is probably already overkill for my powerhouse. Wink

Edit: just ordered the tires in 185/60

And they are mounted on the car! Thumbsup

Not too wide offset on those Celica Supra rims!
I like the offset on the front wheels! Smile

Side view is a bit different already
And the other side as well
And from the side it shows that I definetly need some lowering springs!! Mad

At the rear I need some spacers!
And at the rear I need some spacers... Or have rims with a different offset, but the chance for Celica Supra rims with a different offset is about zero. Sad

I still need to have the proper wheelnuts: I just attached them with the OEM wheelnuts (60 degrees) since I definetly need to bring the car to MOT tomorrow... So if anyone still has a set, send me a pm! Puh

@EE80Liftback: Thanks! BTW, are you back in Holland? Blonde question

@Oldskull: The springs should be the same. D.Wars used stock AE86 springs to lower his Celica, so maybe I should try that first. Wink

Try my SSRs soon Smile That offset would be lovely

Maybe ST front legs are different, but i doubt AE86 springs fit, they are much smaller then Celica springs.

But is ee you also need camber plates to fix the positive camber Very Happy

Hmmm, I thought you once said that the front struts were the same as AE86... Neutral
So I need Celica springs then...
Also was already doubting about applying the AEU86 camberplates to the Carina, so we will see if they fit. Wink

I also took a good look at the tires which were on the car till yesterday, production date: 06-02-1983! Shocked
I think they were never changed since the car came rolling out of the factory! Embarassed

Anyway, the Carina passed MOT today without any problems at all. Cheerleader
MOT guy told me there was absolutely nothing to comment on, so I think I made a good guess about things wrong with the car this time, not like last time when I had to spend 200 euros on welding... Wink

Are those the 15" celica-supra's? I thought the 14's had much more offset.

I have koni yellow at the front but I still need to find something for the rear...

Oh, and the positive camber disappeared after driving. Probably by jacking up and down the car it leaned on the other strut and became just a tiny bit positive... Wink
