For my birthday, I decidec to give myself a new engine. Choise wasn't so hard, because I wanted a strong and durable N/A engine which could withstand drift torture and would last long time.
After consulting a few people in Croatia and here on AEU86, I decided to buy u 20v Blacktop engine from Malaysia - LeeKun was my choise and I didn't regret it so far.
Here's a few pic's from rebuild process
Blok
Radilica
Klipovi
Glava sa 20 prekrasnih ventilića
Šerafi se...
usisna grančica na koju će doći ITB-ovi i kasnije trube malezijskog simfonijskog orkestra
LeeKun changed stock con-rods with Silvertop ones because they are stiffer
Ventilćeki... 1...2..3..4..5... ima ih 20
Gumice, dihtunzi... sve oriđiđi Toyota OEM
reparirani anlaser
Blok je gotov
pa onda i lakiran
Glava je obrađena
Karter polakiran
look at this beauty
Skoro gotovo
testiranje motora
And the result!!!
LeeKun send me something around 500 pics and 27 videos which he made during this rebuild - many thanks and big thumps up.
Engine will come to Croatia in about 1,5 month

Thats a really nice rebuild
Are you going to bash the firewall to make it fit?

Thanx Jan!
Yes, I'm going to clear the firewall - it's much cheaper than distributor cap relocation kit

It is cheaper, but I just can't bring myselfe to grap the hammer. I'm going to drop the distributor and do a little plumming to make it fit

As you probably know, I ordered Blacktop engine from Malaysian engine builder LeeKun.
Engine finally arrived after 4,5 months. In the meantime, I preped my car for paintjob.
It was going to be painted in Toyota Super White II color
Me, and my cargo, when it finally reached Croatia
In no-time, there was 6 people at my home, honering the Blacktop. I left it in my kitchen for 10 days, while the car was being painted
After that, we started assemling my car
Vladx inside – not powerfull as Blackie, but powerfull than my old engine
New Sprinter rear lamps
sideskirts from my other AE86
Interior is done, roll bar installed
Croatian Smokey Nagata - Kas
Tachometer back to zero, OK back to 00002 km
Taaa daaaa – car is assembled, siting on 14“ wheels, without an engine

After the car was assembled I took it to my friend place, so that new heart could be transplanted
Engine going in
My friend Cajo
Tile & Ozy
We preped the engine in 2 days, because of all the sensors and firewall. I first banged the firewall until it was ready to burst, but when we lowered the engine, it was clear that the firewall had to be cut away. So bit of a advice, for all of you that are planning to install 20V without relocating the rotor, cut your firewall and mend it from inside of the car before puting the engine in.
Trumpets
Finally...
New exhaust
Black hood
More pics will follow...

Very nice build, congrats. You are the famous croatian customer of LeeKun.. I'm the "famous" hungarian . You can check it out here:
http://hacsiroku.blog.hu/2008/06/08/eltuntem_de_megjott
My question would be: where is the rollcage from? Who is the manufaturer, what was the price for it, shipping time and cost, what does it weight, is it custom made for the AE86? I'm planing to have a cage as well, but the homologated, welded WRC cage is just too heavy. And I could not figure out any european options, Cusco from Japan would be to slow to arrive, and also a bit expensive. Your help would be very appreciated.
Thank you and keep up with the nice work.
TeZe

Hi Teze,
nice to know that you also got your engine.
Regarding the rol-bar, Zax bought it on e-bay a couple of years ago for something like 150-200 euro i think. Manufacturer is Heigo.
It's made from aluminium and it's really easy to install and uninstall in AE86. I think the whole cage weight's around 20 kg.
When are you installing your Blacktop?

Hi Gjuro,
thank you for the quick reply. In the mean time I did find the webpage of the manufacturer, and also the cage you probably have. The price is a bit higher, as for your friend Zax was, but at least they are building it.
If anybody else is interested:
http://www.heigo.de/ASP/index.asp?PID=&ACT=...2&SCAT=Toyota
The Black Top will be installed this summer, but first we have to take care of the rust, build in the cage, make the new paint and then the BT can come in. It should be running ready in September.
How is yours? Does it feel much stronger then the original 4A-GE did?
Cheers, TeZe

I got them from LeeKun for 120 euro. I don't know who's the manufacturer.
T3 also has trumpets for 180 USD

It's huge improvement in power and drivebility. Engine response is unbeliveble. And the noise...
I hope to make a video soon, so that you can hear it for your self. In the meantime, we were out drifting today
