Hey Everyone my name is Beau, I'm from Sydney Australia and I'm one of the Mods on Hachiroku.com.au (no plug intended)

I've owned two 86s previous to this one. The first was a Levin Notch Back then a Levin Hatch came second, So basically all i need to do know is own a Trueno Coupe and ive owned the whole collection haha. Though i sold my previous 86's to fund my race car. But i recently got rid of it so i could get back to my love the ae86!

its basically a 1986 Kouki Trueno Hatch! One of the Irishmans Imports! So its gotta be good.

Specs:
Small Port 16valve
Tokico Front coilovers
TRD green rear shocks
Casablanca rims 14x7
Hydro handbrake
2 way LSD
Nardi Swede Wheel
Defi gauges

Other stuff but i wont bother boring you all.

I'll put more pics up tomorrow.

Plans:
Lets just say there are a few, but id like to just enjoy it for now. hehe :wink

Beau, i have one question: how do you keep water from getting into the wing? I mean, under it. I've heard that it might corrode the metal.

Pedro: Hey, well i dont know how this one has been done but normally the best way to do it is firstly getting a good qauilty wing then using blind rivets and stik-a-flex (dont know what you guys call it) but a strong water tight glue.

But reading your post again i think you think its not painted or something under the wing, as it is so that keeps the rust away.

Hope that answered your question Smile

well well. Didnt really get as much as i would have liked this weekend. But i did do more driving then anything and that was a nice change for once.

Have to say the FOX held its own, even for the fact it needs a service BAD, needs new brake fluid and pads, new rear tyres and now a new battery as i found the current one had been leaking and ripping the paint off the chassis. so that is now getting fixed up next weekend with a bit of a spot welding hit for that sucka!

But what i did do was put all the interior back in. GOD DAM that made the car quiter and nicer! i also put on those TRD spark plug leads which really do nothing other then add flavour and a cusco strut brace thanks Kev!

Come to think of it... i did fuck all, other then drive it!! Im really happy with it! and im hoping after new tyres, braided brake lines the HKS brake fluid and Mu secret pads it will be much better including giving everything a oil change and installing the PWR steer arms

ohh well enough blabbing here are some pics!!

Before

After

My front pay attention to the gear nob! best height ever!!! fuck quick shifters

This needs no comment....

Old..

New TRD..

Engine.. Watch this space.. it will change and improve.. sex spec!

And my beautiful helper.. Wearing her $250978495.00 Ed Hardy hoody

And some pics from a lil drive!

Thanks for the response, is what I needed to know, since I just ordered Shine Auto's wing and I'll be slaping it in a couple of weeks and I will do that water sealant glue to be on the safe side.

And yes, I understand that the whole hatch door is painted Wink

Well, thanks for the info. Great car you got there Worship

well work happened today like i stated it would.

Braided lines front and back! Found that the front left rotor has the texture of a motorcross track so next week the fronts will be swapped for slotted and some TRD or Mu pads. like 600c or something to keep it sane!

next on the list was new engine oil!! thank god! it needed it! new filter and all that jazz!

then new rear tires feels alot better but we will see how much better they are tomorrow morning at one Mt.

Though it was not all fun and games Hydro handbrakes suck ass and effect everything so that is getting launched and replaced by a stock handbrake! cant wait it will be better, safer and look cleaner!! Hope to get that next week!

Also got a new battery as the current one has been leaking, im also going to be mounting it in the boot tomorrow. So its all done for when i slap a odyssey in there!

Well enough of the novel writing here are some pics i could be bothered taking!

Drinky drinky!

Club Charles head qtrs!

Braided!!

This is just to show the differnce before and after a quick clean..

And this is me trying to get my MatthewMead.net on!

Ok so called me a gaylord but after reading Autosalon mag for once i have taken one thing away from the mag that i agree with, so im going to use my members ride to do so..

What am i talking about? Well im going to state my plan for the FOX here.

Plan:
Basically im building/modding this car to have a daily driven car that houses full interior and isnt some crazy undriveable thing that i can still clock some silly times at the track and touge. im aiming to clock a 1:16 on street tyres at Wakey. Might be a lil crazy BUT its my goal and i can aim for what i like hehe.

So firstly im focusing on my brakes, tyres and suspension areas. i will be trying to make alot of the suspension parts myself.

Secondly i will be focusing a lil on the exterior, basically im just going to be respraying the car, Orange again but a different orange.. infact the same orange that my Dads 57 use to be (refer to picture) i'll be adding 25mm Fiberglass guards and some bolt on black rear guards. Kouki bar and lip and OEM side skirts. And wheels will be some SSR's and a Carbon bonnet. Id like to get my hands on a FRP hatch but i dunno yet.

Thirdly i will be concentrating on the engine of course. Now saying that i may do some mild things to the current engine in the mean time, like removal of AC and whatevere else, and adding some quads and good quailty tuned headers.

But what i plan to do is build a some what serious NA engine. Such as a small port or a 7age.

Now i know this kinda seems a lil to much and contridicting to my intent but thats how i want to do it and its just some of my influeces i enjoy, and im basically trying to build how "I" (key word there) think the ultimate 86 should be built, to a extent.
