hi guys just purchased my trueno by px my 93 trueno with a bit of cash, i think i got a good deal apart from the paintwork cos it needs a respray.

its a 1986 trueno gtv, yea no electric windows or power steering:cry:.

current spec

-engine standard apart from trd leads
-trd short shift
-trd internal gearbox, never heard of it, didn't know they did it, so can anyone confirm.
-trd 2 way lsd but seller couldnt confirm this, can i tell without opening this up.
-15" legion club wheels, wud look ok with refurb.
-adjustable trd rear shocks, bumpy.
-camber adjustment.
-omoni gauges in custom enclosesure where radio goes, oil temp, oil press, water temp.

thats it, wot u guys think, pics dont show how bad bodywork is

i'll get some better pics.

Welcome! Wave
Very nice GTV! Thumbsup
And don't forget: the less stuff on your car the better! Smile
PS is not really necessary for the AE86 unless you have 205 tirewidth on the front wheels. Wink

They probably mean that the internals of the gearbox are switched for TRD parts. That's probably easy to verify: just compare the revs/speed per gear with the OEM revs/speed and the ones which were available from TRD. They are most probably in the TRD Bible. Smile

Since you have a analogue cluster it is easy to switch to MPH: just find a kouki (late model, with the white stripes) gauge cluster and everything should be just fine. Smile

I still drove mine happily with 195. Wink

Zenki is the older car spec, kouki newer. Your cluster has vertical white stripes and white gauges (you know, the needles that move) which makes it newer. Older clusters don't have the white stripes and feature clear gauges.
They are a little bit different in speed adjustments, so they should not show the speed correctly if you exchange them.

Also be aware that left hand drive clusters don't fit right hand drive clusters: the connectors and speedo cable are mirrored.
