I wasn't convinced they would leak, but the mechanic was... So, I convinced him now that it doesn't leak.
gsrturbo: I got my stuff through Aazuma trading (aka Mail Order Japan) and they are the ones who package it neatly. I personally don't think the normal sellers on auctions yahoo would go through this amount of trouble. But then again: the handling costs are quite high.

Finally brought the CS rims to a sandblaster and they are going to get a silver-grey coating this week as well. Coating is the same color as the Carina GT-R had and that's exactly what I had in mind.
I'm also going to need tires for them and I already decided upon Falken. I'm still doubting between 185/60 and 195/60: 195/60 was what the GT-R originally had but 185 is probably already overkill for my powerhouse.
Edit: just ordered the tires in 185/60

And they are mounted on the car!
I like the offset on the front wheels!

And from the side it shows that I definetly need some lowering springs!!
And at the rear I need some spacers... Or have rims with a different offset, but the chance for Celica Supra rims with a different offset is about zero.
I still need to have the proper wheelnuts: I just attached them with the OEM wheelnuts (60 degrees) since I definetly need to bring the car to MOT tomorrow... So if anyone still has a set, send me a pm!

Not too wide offset on those Celica Supra rims!

Side view is a bit different already

And the other side as well

At the rear I need some spacers!

@EE80Liftback: Thanks! BTW, are you back in Holland?
@Oldskull: The springs should be the same. D.Wars used stock AE86 springs to lower his Celica, so maybe I should try that first.

man looks sooo clean! BUT you defenitly need some lowering springs and camberplates or something. You have camber to the opposite direction
Try my SSRs soon That offset would be lovely

Maybe ST front legs are different, but i doubt AE86 springs fit, they are much smaller then Celica springs.
But is ee you also need camber plates to fix the positive camber

Hmmm, I thought you once said that the front struts were the same as AE86...
So I need Celica springs then...
Also was already doubting about applying the AEU86 camberplates to the Carina, so we will see if they fit.
I also took a good look at the tires which were on the car till yesterday, production date: 06-02-1983!
I think they were never changed since the car came rolling out of the factory!
Anyway, the Carina passed MOT today without any problems at all.
MOT guy told me there was absolutely nothing to comment on, so I think I made a good guess about things wrong with the car this time, not like last time when I had to spend 200 euros on welding...

As you can see the parkinglot is not very sideshot friendly. Will do that shot next sunday on JSC.
Oh forgot to say: also received the GT-TR badge today.

Are those the 15" celica-supra's? I thought the 14's had much more offset.

15" are 6J i believe and higher offset, 14" are 7J and have an offset of 7.
Congrats on the APK
And i did tell you that it uses the same shocks
Springs are different, camber plates ... dunno, maybe
