after the red over black tureno...now
Very Happy
Hi ya,
find this site and see many old friends on here. as i now own a 86 AGAIN, so no reason for me not posting up.

it is a 1986 GTV and named "Lemon86"

pick it up earlier this week, not 100%, when it arrive the suspension was a bit loss, diff have no noise, paint work was very rough. but when i see it in the auction hose, it is totally other way round !! Rolling eyes
but anyway, its ok, cause it is a 22 years old 86, so problem here and there is very normal..... Confused

and yes, this is the pick up

and yes, near 80% of time i collect the car is not starting..... Mad I LOVE JUMP LEAD....

drove it back home, tested the engine and speed, so strong engine, no limited, super loud (not exhaust tho), cause no interior, the sound form the road and the exhaust bouncing around in-side of the car can really made you death.....

got the mot and back home start to have good look of it. find it is not 100% what its said on the Japanese grade sheet.
1. there have rust and hole
2. no over fenders.
3. funny LSD. when i drove it, it dont have "chung, chung" noise by doing a slow speed turn like the nismo diff does. but it does lock and its locks very tight and fast. it can be the japanese tyres. it will lock up when i do a 90 d. turns on a speed of 20km !!

I brought a few of parts looking to making the 86 looks good. ie steering wheels, TRD wing, front fenders...... but now because of the rust and hole, i think i need to sell off some stuff to get the money back for the body shop. any one know any good body shop in Birmingham ??

later on today will work on the car again, and try to find out more details and will get some photo to show all of you.
see you guys soon.........
ok, have a real good day on the LEMON this afternoon.

First this did on it is a real posh HID head light kit.

took me 1/2 hour to fit, because one of the leveling lever is damaged, so i have to take the whole light out to do the adjustment. and find a nice place for the transformer.
it i a 8000k bulbs, looks good yeah?

than i start to look at the suspension try to find out why have a knock noise.

after i took the coilover out of the car, i find the damper have a lot extra play i the suspension body. it can move around, and it is leaking badly, so i design to put it back in place and wait for the new damper.
see the oil on the floor !!

also when i work on the suspension, i find most of the anti-roll bar bushes are gone !! need to spend money again !!

at this moment i really need to sale some bits to get the money for all the parts i need replace. if anyone have the parts i need, pleae let me know.
thanks. Crying or Very sad
1. front after market damper, can be TRD blue, yellow, green....
2. which hard bushes should i go for ? TRD or the red stuff form USA

Nice to have you back..
If you are short on cash, just order the Prothane bushings... cheaper, and they will do the job just fine. Might be a good idea to consider a different brand of dampers too, trd is always mucho expensive.

I might have some yellow TRD shocks for you soon... I'm currently waiting to get some adjustable. I don't know when I'll get them, though.
