Hey Everyone,

As you may know we were planning a tour and BBQ and tent event around June this year but with both your admins making their wife pregnant the lack of time we had as a result totally killed that idea. We may replan that event for next year because the whole idea of going to Vaals on the border of Germany, Netherland and Belgium and then heading out for the Nurburgring the next day seems like a thing we should do.

For this year however with me just having become a father, and Banpei being on the verge we simply do not have the time nor resources to organise something of this size. Because we do want to celebrate our forums anniversary (this is a tradition we want to keep alive aslong as we can) we've desided to keep it simple this year and go back to our proven formula.

That means that in the next few weeks I'll be contacting a few campings to get a nice deal where we can put up some tents, have a great barbeque, and spend the night.
We won't be doing a tour this time (unless someone jumps up and takes care of that for us) so we're thinking about doing something else. Maybe visit a kart center in the afternoon before heading out to the camping site. Ideas are more then welcome.

Same as the previous two years we're targetting a weekend in September, we hope many will join in.

Last but not least, Mark can you bring your BBQ equipment again?

People coming:
- Mux213 (might be late for karting)
- The doctor (the meat man!? Wink )
- Djexor
- Robokill (if hachi is finished?)
- Oldskull
- D.wars
- Ivan

That will be nice if we can do some gathering for this year again.

+1 for karting Smile
I heard that in Huizen got nice place for karting and CircuitFreak must know that place. I never been there before and never do karting before but have been heard from different people that Huizen got nice place for karting.

Yeah we almost ended up at that cart place. Remember last year we made a stop in huizen at the docks where it was so busy because of some kermis thing?

Well thats where the kart track is, I'm still glad nobody noticed or we would have never made it to the camping in time:D

This year september probably will be without me I guess. By then I probably just became daddy, so if I'll hop along it will be depending on the location and probably be only for a very short while. Neutral

Hey everyone,

How does the 22nd of September sound ? The weekend after that I already am doing something with DeLoreans Very Happy

I like ibmfd3s's idea of going to the uitgeest kart track and after that going down to a camping site nearby.

So everyone who's up for this idea (or thinks we should do something different) let yourself be heard:)

I'd also like to know who would commit to this date so I can construct a list of people we expect to come

For karting, you're also welcome just to come and watch for fun you don't have to drive if its not your thing. Karting will be at your own costs though. We'll get some more info on this later on.

For the BBQ we'll be taking care of the equipment and meat again, Thomas has been kind enough to offer his services again for this year. Cost will likely be around 10 euro's a person like last year.

Camping site prices we'll announce once we've picked a camping site. Please let us know if you plan to stay the night. We will try to pick a camping site with huts you can rent like last year.

For BBQ and camping we'll need payment up front.

Not yet, but I guess there will be some late arrivals.. that reminds me, I need to dot some i's, still need to get in touch with the kart centres and see which one we can best go to.

The one in uitgeest states on their website that they only do larger group endurance things. In Hoorn you can just walk in and do small session things which would fit our current situation better.

Being a dad sure doesn't speed things up:D

Thanks for the heads up Very Happy

We might go for Huizen afterall, one of our members gave an interesting option for the BBQ and camping:) Need to find time to finalize things with the kart center. Just wish I had more time...
