HI!
I was a bit "drifting" today, now with the kaaz 2 way lsd i got much more grip on the dry, i have 195 tyres on 15 inch wheels with koni suspension on the car. its very tricky to get the hachi roku sideways, i am not using e-brake technique i dont like that....

use shittier tires, more revs and increase pressure in the reartires to ~40psi or more
one or all of the above should do the trick

I had the same probelm in the beginning, and also thought that i had to much grip, but its simple becource you are going to slow!,
And that is not my trying to say anything about your driving,
But that was the same with me,
With the hachi, you need to go fast ,at the entry,
it´s alot easy´er when you get more power, then you can drift at a lower speed,
but it´s also much more fun to do it faster, becourse there is not much power over drift anyway,
So drift from the entry of the corner

I come to this corner in third gear, maybe 100-110km/h then i brake late, still in third gear, steer in and shift down to second without toe and heel, then the rear brakes out...

it should be the other way around!!! or are you driving a AUDI?
no for real... camberplates... about 1.8 of camber and your Konis set to 3/4 front and 3,5/4 rear... you will have nice balance and no more understeer!! I had the same Setup with the Kaaz 2 way before... that was a nice setup...
now I will run Greddy Type S + Cusco RS LSD... I think i will feel the difference!!!

the Kaaz didn't make the effect I wanted... the Cusco RS works with lower torghe because of the spring layout... the Kaaz works with the disc layout... Kaaz is good... but Cusco RS is the something else

Just out of interest,
Does any of you guys remember this guy called Zax that sometimes posts on this forum?
8Kg front, 6Kg rear springs, shortstroke KONI shocks, a modified double rear strut bar and a dying 4AG in the front.
Stock LSD
Stock engine, if it was still doing 110Hp it would have been a miracle
Sideways 24x7 at Mobikrog, snow, ice, dry, wet, it didn't matter. www.go-drift.com
Damn I miss that white hachi of his....

just looked at your video.. nice job..
but i see that your car is a little bit soft.. in German: Schwammig....
maybee some Buschings and a Tanabe Stabilizer set yould do good work...
With the camber you could get it drifting befor the turn starts.. so it wouldn't
be a power over drift...

not shure about the whiteline stabilizers... Studebaker from München has them and he is not satisfide... He even thought the OEM ones were better... but maybe he has a different driving style then you do...

ash hearing the revs in your car you are not near 6600 ? Drifting a stock hachi mostly takes it upto 7000 rpm and alot trying. But first I would recommend a difrent learning spot. This corner is pretty long and your speed at entry must be much higher.
Its not safe to learn drifting on these long corners. Try a parkinglot or a small corner. Start in first gear 90 degree turn before you try these long ones. You might hurt yourselve

Ash,
Watch this vid: http://www.go-drift.com/video/go-drift.com_9V.wmv
Skip the first minute or so, thats just parking lot fun, the real stuff starts after that.
there is also a topic somewhere from HRC with a vid of him on this same track, also with a near stock hachi with only upgraded suspension.

I wonder if that car still has a throttle, it's probably been removed, just one big gaping air hole sucking in power:)

The reason the white hachi no longer rides, is due to a blown engine:(
