Hey everyone,

For those people who are interested. Gummen.org is organising a "slalom" track day on the midland racing circuit in Lelystad. This day is normally only available for members but they have opened it up for non members aswell.

Participents will be divided into 3 groups of 12 drivers, each group will drive 2 times for 1 hour. Costs are 37,50 euros.
You can sign up for more then one group if you want to drive more.
Due to the size of the track only 2 to 3 cars are driving at one time but waiting times are very short, there is plenty of driving time during a heat.

These days are great fun! Don't miss it!

This is a track day, drifting/burning/hotdogging is not allowed (though a bit of sliding in the interest of fast laptimes is allowed).

Currently there is some debate whether timing equipment will be available, at previous event laptimes were timed as these days are ment to improve your cornering skills.

Had some fun today, hopefully pictures will be online soon. Its great being on the track with warn out tires up front Very Happy

Time for new ones for sure!

I didn't put my new springs on yet, didn't have the time for it. Also not wanting to lower my car to much yet... We'll have a go with those soon when I can properly install everything Very Happy

Toypower also dropped by with his new Trueno now that it has tags. Man that car is sweet!! He tested it out on the track but didn't do to many laps, his car has some wicked japanese drift setup which is just nuts (soft suspention front, hard rear). He let me drive a bit on the streets around the circuit, didn't do any crazy stuff with it. That car's got some crazy power!! Weird driving in the passenger seat, I kept steering the car towards the middle of the street.
Its an amazing machine though, no hachi I've driven so far comes close to it. A great find!

Thanks to Dick Groen from www.autopics.nl (go to meetings and the Gummen Lelystad). Unfortunately no action pictures of Toypower:(

Also the owner of the NSX was kind enough to allow me to sit in the passenger seat while he was doing his lap. This track is way to small for such a fast car but man that car is a BEAST! (also amazing is that this car and its owner crashed badly at Spa Francorschamps not that long ago, both car and owner have healed luckely...)
