Man, I got it on Monday, but I'm selling my PS2, with GT3 and GT4. Reason? I'll sell for 200 euro, plus the 100-150 euro I would spend on the wheel setup that's 300-350 euro. That's a Sparco Evo seat from demon-tweeks.co.uk

As far as the game is concerned, it looks goooood! Impossible to play without the wheel though, especially high power cars. The improvement in graphics, sound, etc is relatively small compared to GT2 -> GT3. Which shows PS2 potential was pretty much utilized to the fullest in GT3. I would expect a much bigger improvement in GT5.

Happy gaming!

Dorito,

Actually you are fairly wrong there. If the graphics in GT4 have not improved much compared to GT3, the PS2 still is doing nearly nothing.

Mate of mine does serious optimizing work for PS2 games and he mentioned GT3 currently uses about 20% of the total capability of the PS2. But maybe it simply doesn't need more. GT series is all about handling. The graphics are pretty much good enough as they are:)

Still from what I've heard about GT5 it is going to be a major improvement. One of the things GT so far has not had compared to other games is damage to your cars and the reason is fairly simple. They have never given the AI in the game much effort. When racing against computer opponents you would always win because the opponents will have wrecked eachother far before reaching the finish line (that is, if they haven't wrecked you yet:)). It would have turned into demolishion derby:)
GT5 is supposed to adres this issue. A proper AI and damage to your car, so no more shortcuts, bumping off the sides, etc.

And don't forget GT2 was for the PSOne, not for the PS2.

Haha... Can still remember Demolition Derby 1: just save your car and win. Do not try to inflict any damage to the opponents: you will only lose that way. Puh

Yeah I bought it aswell today!!! Damn this game is not the easiest to play with a controller but it goes alright.

Started from scratch and offcourse bought a levin:), won all 5 of the sunday cup, bought some TRD suspention stuff, brake kit, weight reduction, not to much different from standard and decided to give the nurburgring a go.

Damn the hachi really becomes unstable near 200kmph and its really hard to give small steering corrections with the controller. Yet I did put a sub 10 minute round including a couple of spins allong the way:)

But definetaly, if my hachi in real life get this unstable on the ring at those speeds, I'm gonne take a big step back and take it easy:)

There are also a couple of 8 hour races along with the insane 1000 kms ones.

Luckily we have the B-spec, don't require near as much attention and concentration and you can speed up the race with x3. Still that's over 8 hours on the 24 hour races... :/

Huh? In what way does the B-spec differ then? Blonde question

It's like a manager mode. You don't drive yourself.
Good for the endurance races!

b-spec is like a team boss mode, the computer drives your car and you tell the computer how to drive. Whether to keep pushing it or to take it more easy and save on tires, whether to overtake or keep pace, that sorta thing, but you dont drive yourself..

*edit* widar was faster then me, go get a life widar Evil or Very Mad
