Finally owner of an AE86 !!

Hello all,

I am a forum member since 2004 and I finally bought an Corolla coupe! It really is my dream car but I never dared to buy actually.

The car I bought is standing still since 2003 so there is some work to be done! My plans are to get the car drivable and in technical good state, go for MOT (apk) test and drive the car until march 2010. Then I will have a garage available and will start to strip the car and do a body overhaul. Repair parts and/or replace them if needed, paint and put everything back together. Really looking forwards to that!

Thats for the future but first I have to deal with the technical state. I hope you want to help me with your expertise and advice witch parts to buy.

What needs to be done for MOT:
1. Brake overhaul
2. Fix lights
3. Rear spring replacement (one coil is broken)
4. Left doorhandle (something inside broke I think, only opens from inside)
5. Wheelarches

Not a must for MOT but needs attention:
6. Diff is noisy. After a 100 km drive no sounds, end of highway driving back to my house I put some power on and diff started to make noise.. I think rack and pinion because it is singing very high, bearings would make lower sound right? I wish I could have controlled myself untill new diff-oil...
6. Panhard looks bended, so buy a adjustable right away?
7. Change all fluids

Other things I would like to do;
8. Get correct seats
9. Electrical fan
10. Suspension
11. Installing the bushing kit I got with the car
12. Change steering wheel
