Yes that's correct.
That's also why R.ave had issue with his window moulding as it was meant for the Japanese market. The scuttle panel is indeed different on the export models. It might also explain why the European and USDM cars have rust issues right below the windscreen as it isn't protected by a windscreen anymore and water can creep in. Then the rust destroys your windscreen from underneath!
