My little (not really...) project - Soon to be all done?!?
PROJECT part one:

- All rust removed (it has quite a bit Sad )
- New panels (all four)
- New doors (might be able to fix them)
- A fresh layer of paint (Color: TBD)
- New bushings which completes the suspension (for now that is...)
- Install newer 4AGE (~170 kkm, now: ~344 kkm)

PROJECT part two:

- New more powerfull engine (4AGE 20V or 4AGTE)
- New gearbox (type depends on the engine)
- Perhaps new rear (depends on the engine)

Some of the project has been discussed in this tread: http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic.php?p=262#262

As it looks now:

Ive started to gather some parts for my 86 project Smile Some days ago i got these in the mail:

Today I went to my local toyota dealer to pick up two brand new rear quater panels Hurray! Here is one of them:
[Image: AEU86 AE86 - My little (not really...) p...ll done?!?]
The other lies underneath... Ill take a better picture later Smile They are both zenki panels as I could only get a hold of a left kouki panel... The front panels are going to be zenki as well. I dont know if I would have gone for the kouki if it where possible as I think zenki panels gives it a cleaner look eventhough its not the original look...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

They actually arent too bad, but I know it has some rust behind the right panel... If that has to be fixed the panel must come off - and I cant change just one side. It has to be perfect :!: Cool

The kouki panel is ready for mounting the plastic trim you can see on my front panel. You might notice that the rear panel doesnt have the plastic thingy on it as it comes from a Starlet P7# Smile

Yeah I know it will be a lot of work, I just hope it will be worth it Smile Ill take a lot of photos when I get started!

They are prette good - 1½ years old I think. I dont think it will be worth it to ship them to you as you can buy them for ~100€ for both sides Smile
