We have some really nice split rims on the XTR4...

They are made by a company called Image Wheels in the UK.

They can make whatever size (between 13" and 20") or offset you like.
They are also extremely light. Our rears are 8X15" and they weigh just 5Kilos each.

The prices on their site are not cheap - but if anyone is interested I can negotiate the price down quite a bit.

Regards Ian.

Sorry about the car... the photo was more to do with the wheels (but yes - its cool - RWD, Audi Turbo power and it weighs about 580Kilos).

I'm toying with getting a set of them made for my hachi. I can find lovely retro wheels in japan but most of the people selling wont ship to the uk Sad.

One of the XXR wheels on my car is pretty badly curbed (it was when I got it) and I don't really think it could be replared well.

I thought my wheels were a 3 piece

but it seems the centre is part of the front face of the wheel. I was going to strip them down and get the centres powdercoated in black. but I think this will be hard now.

Regards Ian.

I got some Compomotive split rims off eBay recently...

Pretty nice: meshy centres, 15x7 front and 15x8 rear, all 0 offset and plenty of lippage.

Only problem is they're 4x98, but should be able to get them re-drilled OK to 4x114.

Just waiting on my stainless bolts to refurb them.

They sound real nice Will. Looking forward to seeing them.

I took the centres off of my longchamps yesterday as I had all my wheels balanced (vibes in the steering wheel at 60+ - didn't sort it). They look kinda cool. The dish of the wheels looks bigger without the centres. I just have to have some covers made up as my rear disks are 200sx. A spacer has been made between the hub and the disk and I'm concered this spacer can get through the hole. Will see what I can do to fix that - so want to get them re-coated in black.

If you find anything like that on ebay (and you dont want) give us a shout.

Regards Ian.

@ Ian.G

(Nice car man!)
Could you give me an indication of the price of the Image wheels (13x8 ET5 or 15x10 et 10) and their approximate wheelweights. Im looking for a nice set of light wheels, but that seems impossible here in Europe.
The compomotives etc are around 14lbs for a 13x8rim which is just to much.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

I ordered mines some months ago to Gabriel Tyler (T3), I paid exactly these prices for the 4 rims + shipping charges to France, but it takes 8 weeks.
Gab is a very good guy !

OK NoHachi

Image publish the prices of their wheels in different sizes and widths here

If you phone them and mention our Westfield site (http://www.xtr2.net) and say you will hapily display Image Wheels Stickers on your car they will cut you a deal. We paid less than the advertised prices.

I guess this is a split rim version of the classic minilite which works well with Hachi styling.
