oil catch can/ suspension question
I'm curios about oil catch can also.

My 4AGE also looses lot's of oil on hard driving.
It ain't that much as fax0815 engine does, but i believe it's to much.

What about catch can, and two vented camshaft covers ?
Also, what should vent have to prevent direct oil spray ?

I have my head disassembled at the moment, would appreciate advice what to do with vents. Could weld different vents if needed Smile.

Thanks

oil catch can/ suspension question
@ fax0815... yes, that is the style. Oil collected in the expansion chamber
will drain back to the engine on the overrun.

@ Uzelac... Many standard catch cans have two pipe connections on the
side, and one vent out the top (to atmosphere). You could try using two
right hand cam covers to connect to the two pipes on the catch can.

Standard cam covers have an elaborate baffle over the exit of the vent
tube, to reduce oil carryover. Blowby does increase with speed and wear.
So perhaps a leakdown test would show it's time for new rings ?
