e-brake adjusting mechanism not working!
Some problems...
I previously changed rear pads/discs,painted the calipers etc.
E-brake was working mint before, locking up nicely.
Had to wind back the pistons, everything seemed to be ok, adjusting worked, too.
Reassembled everything, adjusted the brakes according to the manual.
Wasn´t as strong as in the past, but still ok. (Will use the "how to" procedure next time)
Footbrake works awesome.
Did some driving and noticed that the right rim got covered in brake dust very quickly, compared to the left and I also noticed that the performance of my e-brake got a lot worse.

While my car was jacked up I checked with hard pulled handbrake. Left side locks up tight, right side not working at all! (but my LSD does Smile)
But the lever and the pads move, so the cable is fine.

So the self adjusting mechanism stoped working!
I ordered a rebuild kit and disassembled the caliper.
But I couldn´t find anything suspicious inside and I also could not understand how the adjusting works
Banging head Banging head Banging head

My questions, has anyone ever had the same problem and can tell me how to fix it?
Or does some has a working rear caliper I could buy, borrow?

Thanks, Max.

Have you actually taken the adjusting mechanism apart? Just taking out the piston is not enough.

Fully taken appart. Smile

I went to my local garage and we took a look at it, but noone could understand how this silly thing works.

Anybody know if it adjusts by the e-brake leaver or by hydraulic pressure?
Going by the parts it can´t be triggered by the leaver, cause its fu**ing fixed on both sides of the parts with thread!!!

Does anybody know, if threaded parts in the piston is supposed turn in opposide direction of the thread?

Lots of questions...
m I really the first person with such issues?
