Hello after some time im back .
I made an all plastic fuel tank . The stock steel fuel tank is 12kg . My plastic is 5kg . No rust and unlimited life span. It can be made in black white red yellow and blue color. Price for the black is 150 euros 200 for the colored ones. Maybe ok for a dedicated racecar but I agree with Ivan and I think you would need to check very carefully before installing one on a road car. Toyota would have taken the design and safety of the original tank very seriously especially given where it is mounted, a rear end collision could be extremely dangerous for the occupants of the car that shunts into the back. I really like the idea of the plastic tank but I won't take the risk. An analogue brain in a digital World |
